My mom still can’t say her name without a giggle. She usually introduces her as “AstRick” with a silly smirk on her face. Which is really “Asterisk” pronounced wrong. But I am kind of OK with that. The Asterisk (*) symbol is one of my favorites in typography. And it means star – part of the reason we named her Astrid! She is our little Star!

My mom will get it right one day.

Same thing happened with Ainsley – it took her about 3 years to get used to saying (& spelling) her name without pronouncing it wrong.
